Doily & Crochet Flower Bunting

I have a little thing for doilies. They remind me of my great grandmother’s house. She had hand crocheted doilies covering every inch of her end tables and shelf space, topped with breakable bobbles that I longed to play with as a little girl but was never allowed to. So, when I decided to plan my spring craft party, I decided to use doilies in my decor. You can imagine my excitement, amidst party planning, when a box of goodies arrived from The Hair Bow Company. It was packed full of frilly things like crocheted flowers and pretty ribbons to help decorate for the party. I didn’t realize this company sold craft supplies, and at a great price too! I crafted up a doily bunting for my craft party, complete with pretty crocheted flowers. Here are the details, this is a super easy project to make and perfect for springtime. Stay tuned for another project using The Hair Bow Company’s awesome supplies.

Materials
Medium Sized Doilies (I used 20)
10 Crochet Flowers (via The Hair Bow Company)
Hemp String
Double Sided Tape
Directions
Step 1: Measure the length of your door or where you will be hanging the bunting. Cut a piece of hemp string at least 3 feet longer than that measurement. Sandwich the piece of string with 2 doilies and adhere the doilies to the string with double sided tape. Continue to add doilies to the string.
Step 2: Adhere a crocheted flower in the center of each doily with double sided tape or hot glue.
Step 3: Hang in your doorway. Check out my tutorial to learn how to make the burlap wreath (I just removed the poinsettias and added crocheted flowers).
