And because I can turn pretty much anything into a craft project, I give you my running scrapbook. I had all of these photos and mementos from my first 5k that I couldn’t just toss in the trash, but I wasn’t really sure what to do with them. It was too big of an accomplishment for me to just toss them in the trash. Remember, I’m the girl who couldn’t even run for 60 seconds straight 6 months ago and here I am running a 5k. So, I did what any proud runner would do. I bought a pink book, pink glittery stickers and scrapbooked.

Every time I run in an event, I’ll add pages to my running scrapbook. It’ll be a trophy of sorts. Something I can look back on when I’m having a fat day, so I can remember to be proud of how far I’ve come. It’ll be something that I can show Logan, an example of fitness and health for him. It will be a reminder for me not to go back to my old ways and an incentive to keep going. My next event will be The Color Run 5k in August and I’m slightly embarrassed to admit that I already have rainbow paper ready to scrapbook on for it.

I can’t even began to tell you what a difference running has made in my life. I’m so grateful to Nutrisystem for jump starting me on this journey and encouraging me along the way. I have 3 more months left to go on Nutrisystem and I’ve decided to go out with a bang. The past month or so I’ve really been struggling with this journey, but June’s a new month. I can’t wait to fill this running scrapbook of mine and maybe someday you’ll see a 1/2 marathon page in it.

The fine print: Nutrisystem is providing their food and program to me for free, as part of the Nutrisystem Nation Blogger Program.
