(instagram) vegas trip + blogging stuff

Hello, my name is @craftyvanessa and I’m an Instagram addict. True story.

I thought I’d do a little Vegas trip recap for you, instagram style. First, I wanted to share my night out at DownEast Basics with you. They hosted a mixer for a few local bloggers and let us shop on them. Blogging definitely has its perks sometimes. How in the world have I never been inside DownEast Basics before that night?! They have totally cute clothes that are so me! Lots of ruffles and feminine details. I ended up getting the shirt on the right, after consulting with my instagram friends first. Definitely a fun shopping trip!

The next morning, my hubby and I hit the road for Vegas. We lounged by the pool, visited the M&M store and shared frozen hot chocolates at Serendipity 3. We ate amazing food (Fix at the Belagio is a new favorite), ate lots of sushi and saw some amazing shows (loved Celine and O). It was our first trip both away from Logan and it was nice to reconnect as a couple, but I think we were both ready to get back to him by day 3. If I had to turn 30, Vegas was the best place to do it in! We’re already talking about going back in October for Bloggy Bootcamp (anyone else going?).

Speaking of Bloggy Bootcamp, one of my favorite things about attending blogging events is that I get to hang out with other bloggers and creative people. You know, the people that think it’s totally normal to take photos of yourself in a dressing room so your Instagram friends can give you input on which outfit you should get. I recently attended a Tmobile event for bloggers, hosted by I {heart} Nap Time, and enjoyed seeing my fellow bloggers there (like Jenkins Kid Farm, A Place for Us, Pink Cake Plate, The Diary of Daves Wife, Lolly Jane and many more fabulous ladies). Last week I met up with a few of my Instagram pals (Petal Wishes, The Baked Equation and Mrs. Celebration) for dinner. Oh how I love spending time with creative people!

I'm Vanessa and it's my mission in life to spread my love of hot glue guns and glitter to others. I suffer from craft ADHD, regularly working on at least 10 projects at the same time and my craft room looks like a tornado hit it. My first craft book, Party in a Jar, was published in 2014. I look forward to crafting with you!
