Stock up on candy corn this Halloween to make these 3 ingredient butterfingers. Yes, I said candy corn and they really do taste like butterfingers. After all, candy corn is basically sugar and corn starch. Hey, I never claimed this recipe to be healthy but it is so worth that extra mile on the treadmill! If you are looking for another way to use up your candy corn, try making candy corn popcorn or candy corn trail mix.

Ingredients

12 oz Candy Corn
1 1/2 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1 bag Chocolate Chips
Parchment Paper

Directions

Step 1: In a microwave safe bowl, melt candy corn in microwave for 1 minute. Mix and repeat for 15 second intervals until the candy is melted.

Step 2: Mix in peanut butter.

Step 3: Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper, spread mixture into the pan. Place in refrigerator for an hour, until the mixture hardens.

Step 4: Cut the mixture into miniature candy bars using a knife or pizza cutter.

Step 5: Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave for 1 minute. Mix and repeat for 15 second intervals until chocolate is melted. Dip candy bars into the chocolate mixture and place on parchment paper in the refrigerator to cool. I recommend keeping your candy bars in the refrigerator for a crisper texture.

  1. I made these bars and they taste absolutely delicious! I am having a hard time cutting them. They seem to crumble instead of cut. Any tips on how to cut these.

    1. Make sure to stick them in the fridge before you try cutting them. I recommend a pizza cutter or even just a regular knife. If they are still too crumbly, stick them back in the fridge for a few more minutes. You could also roll them into balls and stick them back into the fridge to cool/harden a bit before dipping in chocolate. Hope this helps!!
