Katie of Creatively Living is on the blog today for 20 Crafty Days of Christmas showing us how to make super cute holiday garland out of dollar store glitter ornaments. A budget crafter after my own heart. I love turning dollar store finds into cute things!

Hey all of you See Vanessa Craft readers! I’m Katie and I blog over at Creatively Living.

Today I’m going to show you how I made some quick DIY holiday garland, that is increadibly easy and will only set you back a couple dollars.

***

Start by picking up some sparkly plastic starts, snowflakes or Christmas words at the Dollar Store.

I purchased 1 package of these stars (5 stars/package) and 1 package of the word Joy.

They are supposed to be Christmas tree ornaments, but I like to use them everywhere.

Next cut a few thin strips of fabric from material. I used some linen I had from another project.

If you wanted to save time, you could even use ribbon.

Start tying the end of the material strips on the ends of the stars.

Since the stars are thin plastic, if you tie the material tight, it will stay tied on.

….and after a few minutes, you will have some sparkly garland.

You could make it long enough to use on a hearth,

…or maybe even your tree.

For only $2 and 10 minutes, I plan on making a few more.
