My family was in major need of a food overhaul. With a new baby and less time, we were eating out way too much and choosing convenience over health. Since the first of the month, we’ve been on a gluten-free, dairy-free, preservative-free, fun-free (haha just kidding) diet. That basically means a whole lot of extra prep time in the kitchen. I’ve learned to cut corners in the past month and figure out quick dinner recipes, without having to sacrifice a healthy diet. I was super excited to discover Land O’Lakes Sauté Express Sauté Starters at Walmart, many of which are gluten and dairy free. I can just toss a couple blocks into my frying pan and saute my meats or veggies without having to use any extra ingredients. It’s a huge time saver, which helps when you have a toddler to chase around and a baby to keep calm!
2 blocks Land O’Lakes Sauté Express® Sauté Starter Garlic & Herbs (use Savory Butter & Olive Oil for dairy free)
zucchini (1 medium zucchini per person)
peeled shrimp (5-10 per person)
Instructions: Wash zucchini and cut into noodles using a spiral cutter. You don’t have to peel your zucchini. Place 2 blocks of Land O’Lakes Sauté Express Sauté Starter Garlic & Herbs into a frying pan and heat over medium heat. Once melted and bubbling, add in the peeled shrimp and cook for 30 seconds on each side. Add in your zoodles (zucchini noodles) and cook until the shrimp is pink and cooked through. Serve and enjoy!
