Hi, I’m Amy from The Happy Scraps and I’m excited to be participating Vanessa’s 30 Crafty Days of Halloween. Today I’m going to show you how I put this fun 31 Halloween Decor board together.
You’ll need a few supplies. A board (you could totally use a board that doesn’t already have the cuts in it), some Halloween themed scrapbook paper, paint, glitter, glue, paint brush, and something to smooth your paper out (I like to use a vinyl squeegee).
First, paint the sides of your board whatever color you’d like. I painted mine white to match the paper I was using. Next, paint your 31 numbers black, or whatever color you’d like to paint them. Let the paint dry. Cut your papers into the sizes that you need, then use your wood glue (or mod podge) and adhere them to the board. Use the vinyl squeegee to get the paper nice and smooth.
Put a thin layer or mod podge onto the front of the numbers, and sprinkle with glitter. Shake the extra glitter off.
Make sure to seal the glitter with something, so it stays in place and doesn’t flake off over time. I like to use the mod podge spray sealer.
For a finishing touch, add some ribbon. For the papers that I was using, I thought this burlap ribbon went perfectly.
Now you have a fun Halloween decoration to put up on a shelf, a mantle, or you could even hang it on the wall.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this fun 31 Halloween Decor board I’ve shared with you today.
