MickeyBabyShowerWreath HERO2

As I’ve mentioned before, my husband and I said our I Do’s in Disneyland. It was definitely a fairytale, once in a lifetime wedding that we were so grateful to have. I planned my wedding BP or “Before Pinterest”, when message boards were still all the rage. In midst of planning, I stumbled upon a message board full of Disney Brides who were also planning their weddings. A group of us have kept in touch ever since. Of course now we’re all old married couples with lots of Disney babies and more on the way. I’ve only been able to meet a handful of them in person, but consider all of them my extended family. We’ve been there for each other through life’s curveballs…virtually. It’s this crazy friendship that I never thought was possible and it’s tough to explain to others.

One of my Disney Bride gals recently had a second baby and this Disney Aunt wanted to send him something to welcome him to the world. As I was wandering the baby aisles at Walmart, I ran into some majorly CUTE Disney Baby stuff! From pacifiers and bottles to blankets and bibs, all with a Disney theme and adorable! Perfect for any Disney loving mom and baby. I created a Mickey Mouse wreath to send to our new Disney Baby, full of stuff that he’ll be able to use. I love gifts that are both practical and cute! The wreath would also make for great baby shower decor that can also double as a gift for mom.

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Head to the baby aisles at Walmart and pick up some Disney Baby items to decorate your wreath with.

Step 2: Attach pipe cleaners to wire wreath form, as shown in the photo. I like to stagger the pipe cleaners and add them to the outside wire and inside wire, skipping middle wires.

Step 3: Gather the end of the yellow deco mesh roll and wrap/twist a pipe cleaner around it from an outside wire. You are going to bunch and twist a pipe cleaner around the next section of 6-8 inches of decomesh. You can either measure out 6-8 inches of deco mesh or just eyeball. Continue all the way around the outside, inside and then you can zig zag to each pipe cleaner until your wreath looks poofy and full. There’s no science to this, just bunch and go.

Step 4: Repeat step 2 with the blue deco mesh, only bunching on the inside wire.

Step 5: Repeat step 2 with the red deco mesh, only bunching on the outside wire. Tuck the pipe cleaners behind the deco mesh so you can no longer see them.
