Hello, it’s Kimberly from Small Moments here for 30 Crafty Days of Halloween! Fall is one of my favorite seasons and designing invitations and other printables for Halloween events makes it even better! I created this set of nine tags that can be printed on cardstock, cut and attached to anything from treat bags to favors at a party. The style of the tags are suitable for children and adults! I incorporated popular/traditional Halloween colors of black/white/orange with a pop of teal for something different! Metallics are also great when styling fall parties including bronze and silver!
I was asked a few years ago to design a series of printables for a neighborhood association that hosted “BOO” events. Each family was assigned another family through a random drawing to surprise with treats and charitable offerings like raking leaves! I made lawn signs and door banners that had both Halloween and Fall themes. On the night before Halloween everyone used custom-made luminaries to line their driveways as a way to welcome the good spirits on the eve of trick-or-treating. So fun and a great way to make friends.
Halloween parties are one of my most popular to style with event planners. I have a client that hosts an annual party for her children that includes hand delivered invitations in mini coffin’s, cut-out face masks and pumpkin templates, custom-made t-shirts and each guest goes home with a treat bag any ghost or goblin would DIE for! Each family brings one bag of candy and during the party the kids trick-or-treat with friends at a local park where they rent a pavilion. They roast marshmallows, have a pumpkin seed tossing contest and award prizes for most creative costumes. Each guest also goes home with a small recipe book featuring family favorites like hot apple cider, pumpkin bread, chili, corn bread, apple strudel wraps and cinnamon spiced rice krispie treats. The recipes are in a small spiral bound notebook and make a great keepsake to pass on from generation to generation.
My birthday is in October so one of my favorite memories was hosting a costume party for my friends and family when I turned 25. Everyone dressed the part and costumes ranged from the Pink Panther and a wizard to a soldier and a scarecrow. I hired a DJ, some guests were daring enough to bob for apples and we served a variety of hauntingly good food from a local caterer.
