Oh Monday. Last week, Logan came down with a wicked stomach bug…and then passed it on to me…and then to my husband. There should be a law against getting sick at the same time as your child. Logan is finally getting better, but his schedule is out of whack and he’s not sleeping through the night anymore…which means, I’m not sleeping through the night anymore. Mama needs her sleep. Plus, I’m sorta over dealing with a grumpy tired toddler all day long. Let’s hope this passes quickly! So yeah, we’ve had quite the eventful week and I had to miss my mama bootcamp on Wednesday and didn’t workout the rest of the week. I HATE not being able to workout, but I guess the upside to having a stomach bug is that I still got in an ab workout (yuck). I made it, in my sleep deprived state, to bootcamp on Saturday and got my butt kicked.

As of Saturday, I’m back at it. Food has been good, for the most part. Writing down what I eat in my Nutrisystem book really helps me stay on track. I ran 3 miles on Sunday, along with some abs and weights. I did cardio kickboxing tonight (well, sorta…the instructor was a sub and was going easy on us so I snuck out halfway through and ran 2 miles). Tomorrow is spin class and Wednesday is bootcamp. I’m officially addicted, in a healthy way, to working out. It makes me happy and gives me energy to keep up with my child, even when I’m only sleeping a few hours at night. I’m so happy that I rediscovered my love for breaking a sweat! Don’t get me wrong, I still sorta dread bootcamp, but I LOVE how I feel after.

Oh and I almost forgot!?! Guess who’s in a size medium yoga pant now? ME! A size medium people! Do you realize that I started out in a size XL at the beginning of Buff Mama Monday? I haven’t been a size medium since I was in college! My clothes are fitting better, I’m feeling more confident and I feel like this is really my lifestyle now – a much healthier, happier lifestyle. Last week wasn’t so great, but I jumped right back on the treadmill as soon as I could. The old me wouldn’t have been able to do that so easily. When I started this journey, I thought that I’d only be changing my pant size. Is it cheesy to say that I feel like I’m finding myself again? Or rather, finding someone new and happier. I like who I’m becoming.
