(giveaway & review) miracle-gro, tonka, play-doh & gelarti

Miracle-Gro, Tonka, PLAY-DOH & Gelarti sent Logan and I a bunch of fun things to keep us occupied this HOT summer. Most of you have to stay inside during the wintertime, well here in Arizona it’s the opposite. We hibernate inside during 115 degree summers and spend all winter outdoors. So, I figured now would be the perfect time to post this, when the majority are preparing to be stuck inside all winter-long in a few months with kids (EEEK!). I feel your pain, trust me.

Miracle-Gro Kids sent us their Disney Mickey Mouse Greenhouse and we got to work planting our veggies. You should know that plants and I usually don’t get along and I’ve been known to kill cactus. This super cute kit has everything you need to start a mini garden and it’s basically fool proof (thank goodness). This was a lot of fun to do with Logan and I was surprised at how into it he was. I let him put the water in the cups, plant the seeds and add the markers. We check on our little garden every morning and guess what?! We actually sprouted leaves!! Wish me luck that I can keep this garden living. This is a perfect rainy day (or in our case, 115 degree day), educational activity.

Logan was thrilled when he saw that TONKA sent him a Chuck & Friends Chuck The Dump Truck die cast metal truck! It even came with a little DVD episode that was a lot of fun to watch as he played with the truck. On particularly boring days, I cover our living room floor with painters tape “roads” and let Logan drive his little cars along them. Hours of fun! I love the Chuck & Friends trucks because they are super durable and still chunky enough for little hands. Plus, what little boy doesn’t love a dump truck?!

We were also sent a Gelarti Scene Pack to create our own stickers. Logan’s a tad to young for this project, but I had a blast coloring in the stickers with the fun gel paint that was included. Once they were dry, I turned them over to Logan and he had fun sticking them all over the house. These things are the greatest invention ever and seriously therapeutic. I’m seriously going to be buying a pack for all of my crafty girlfriends! The recommended age is 5 and up, but who said you have to be a kid to enjoy Gelarti?!

PLAY-DOH sent Logan their Sweet Shoppe Perfect Pop Maker and he has asked to play with it every.single.day since we received it. At 2 years old, he can’t quite make the PLAY-DOH pops by himself yet. That just means I get to relive my childhood and play with him. What is it about the smell of PLAY-DOH that takes you back to when you were 4 years old?! The Perfect Pop Maker kit comes with 4 different colors of PLAY-DOH, an ice pop mold, lollipop mold, 4 lollipop sticks and the pop maker itself. Why didn’t things like this exist when I was a little girl?!
