I finally finished our DIY dinosaur family Halloween costumes, with 24 hours to spare until Trick or Treat time! Someone please remind me not to procrastinate next year. Please excuse the no-makeup, bags under eyes, no sleep look. I sorta pulled an all nighter finishing these up. Reminded me of my college days, the night before a big paper was due. I work better under pressure or at least that’s what I tell myself at 3am. I’m so going to regret this picture being pinned the next morning…also like my college days lol!

You can find the template and tutorial for the dino hoodies on my blog. I adapted Running With Scissor’s tutorial to make Logan’s dinosaur tail. I used felt instead of fabric and sewed in an elastic band instead of velcro. I also made it a tad larger than the tutorial stated, mostly because I’m too lazy to measure and sorta just eyeballed it. Logan didn’t want to take it off. I’d call that a success. I can’t wait to go trick or treating…err, I mean I can’t wait to take my kid trick or treating. RAWR!

I’ve shown you mine, you show me yours! Link up your Halloween costumes – homemade or store bought, doesn’t matter! Happy Halloween!
