After the holidays and winter colds, which apparently are still lingering in our home, I’ve had a difficult time getting back into a healthy routine. Of course, it doesn’t help that I’m 10 weeks pregnant and craving things like hamburgers and sweets. With Logan, I craved things like eggs and mangos. He’s also the child that eats fairly healthy, wanting nothing to do with chocolate or cupcakes. His little brother or sister clearly disagrees with his food preferences. In an attempt to appease the fetus and to not gain 100lbs during this pregnancy, I came up with this peanut butter banana shake. Hope you love it as much and me and baby do!

Ingredients (makes 2 servings)

2 Frozen Ripe Bananas

3/4 Cup Almond Milk

1 Tablespoon Honey

1/4 Cup Peanut Butter

1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

1 Cup Ice Cubes

Directions

Slice up bananas and freeze overnight. Place all ingredients in a blender (I used a food processor) and blend until smooth, adding more almond milk if necessary. Pour into cups and enjoy!

  1. Mmmmm, sounds good. I will try this out since my little girl (due in March) apparently has a sweet tooth too.
