These little wee pots of gold are the perfect addition to any St. Patrick’s Day festivity! These are basic cake pops, just dried upside down on parchment paper to form a pot shape. Add yellow sour skittles to the top to look like sparkling gold. You could also use yellow M&M’s or other round candies. Chocolate Candy Melts
Yellow Sour Skittles
Bake the cake according the box, mixing in green food dye until you get your desired shade of green. Once the cake cools, crumble it up and mix with green icing. Place in the refrigerator overnight to chill. Once chilled, roll into small balls. Melt chocolate candy melts according to package and dip the top of the lollipop sticks in the chocolate before sticking in the cake balls. Dip the entire cake ball, while on the lollipop stick, into the chocolate to coat it. Gently tap off excess chocolate and place on parchment paper upside down to dry. The excess chocolate will drip down, forming a pot shape. Once dry, flip the cake pop right side up and place in floral foam. Dip sour skittles in melted chocolate and place on top of the “pot”. Enjoy!
