You guys already know how much of a sucker I am for things in jars. So when it was my turn to pick the #12bloggers theme, I couldn’t help but make it a jar themed month. For my jar recipe, I made a super easy, no-bake cherry cheesecake. In a jar, of course. I took these cheesecake jars to a summer pool party and because they were already individually packaged in little jars, it was convenient to just hand them out and enjoy while poolside. I’m sorta cherry obsessed in the summertime, but if you can add just about any kind of topping you wish. Strawberry cheesecake, peach cheesecake, Oreo cheesecake, caramel cheesecake…the possibilities are endlessly yummy! Scroll down for more jar recipe inspiration.

Ingredients (yields 6 jars):

6 pint sized wide mouth mason jars

1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs

1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)

1/4 cup sugar

8oz plain cream cheese

1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup heavy cream

12.5 oz cherry pie filling can

Directions:

1. Combine graham cracker crumbs, butter and sugar in a bowl. Mix until all of the ingredients are well coated in butter.

2. Divide the mixture into the 6 jars, pressing the crust to the bottom of the jar with a spoon.

3. Use a mixer to beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla and cream until smooth and fluffy.

4. Divide the cream cheese mixture between the 6 jar and layer on top of the graham cracker crust. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours.

5. Spoon the cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese mixture in all 6 jars. Refrigerate or serve immediately.

  1. Do you actually use pint size jars?? I bought pint jars and they are way bigger than what it looks like in photo and so much empty space in the jars.

  2. Recipe calls for sugar and confectioners sugar. Which one do you put with the cream cheese mixture. It just says sugar. Could you please be specific and clarify which one.
