Apricot Pastelitos Pies WEB

Pastel in Spanish means “pie” and pastelitos means “little pies”. They are typically a Cuban dessert, but are also popular in the New Mexico culture, which is where I’m originally from. This is one of my great grandmother’s recipes and while they are delicious, no one can quite make them like she did. I’m convinced that grandmothers have secret ingredients to make their recipes taste that much better. Maybe it’s just the love that goes into the cooking. Try this recipe with different fruits, apricot and apple are my favorites.
