Kid Friendly: Art Station for Kids

July 24, 2015 By Vanessa 1 Comment

I created an art station for kids with products from Office Depot as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. #GearLove #GearUpForGreat

Arizona summers are like winters in most places, we hibernate inside away from harsh weather. My kids and I are going a little stir crazy this summer, so we headed to Office Depot to pick up supplies for a kid friendly art station. The kids and I have been busy crafting up a storm and keeping our minds off the 115 degree weather outside. I’m amazed at their creativity and what they come up with when I simply put the supplies in front of them without direction.

This is all the Office Depot gear that I can’t live without. Surprise, surprise, they are all craft supplies. From pom poms to paint, this is a great “must have” craft supply list to get you and your children crafting! Tons of fun projects can be crafted with these basic supplies. Office Depot had it all, everything from home office and school supplies to aisles full of craft supplies!

Markers
Crayons
Colored Pencils
Paint
Glitter Glue
Glue
Glue Sticks
Pom Poms
Stickers
Pipe Cleaners
Washi Tape
Construction Paper
Popsicle Sticks
Scissors
Paint Brushes

I needed the art station to be portable because we do a lot of crafting on our dining room table. I didn’t want anything too large or permanent so I could move it out of the way when we eat or when I can’t supervise my 2 year old around the markers. My solution was putting the supplies in mason jars and sticking everything in a basket. I can easily store the basket up high when not in use.

The mason jars make it easy to keep our supplies separated and organized. Way easier and more inviting than trying to get crayons or markers out of those little boxes. My kids can take out one mason jar at a time an easily pick up everything themselves. An organized crafting station also leads to more creativity for us.

Don’t forget to share your fun Office Depot finds on social media using #GearLove. How do you organize your art and craft supplies?

I'm Vanessa and it's my mission in life to spread my love of hot glue guns and glitter to others. I suffer from craft ADHD, regularly working on at least 10 projects at the same time and my craft room looks like a tornado hit it. My first craft book, Party in a Jar, was published in 2014. I look forward to crafting with you!
