Craft: Star Wars Galaxy Slime

Who else is excited for Force Friday on September 4th?! Force Friday is when all the toys, collectibles, books and apparel for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released. Many stores will be opening their doors at midnight and in Star Wars land, it’s a pretty big deal. Living with two big Force fanatics, my husband and son, I’m sure I’ll be “forced” to participate in the festivities. I might even break out my R2D2 fun run costume.

In honor of Force Friday, we created Star Wars Galaxy Slime! I’ve tested out quite a few slime recipes and this is by far my favorite and so easy to make! Add in a few glow in the dark stars and play with the slime in a dark room with a black light for a fun effect. My 5 year old loved incorporating his Star Wars characters into his slime play. Yes, that is Darth Vader battling his younger self. According to Logan, that could happen. May the #ForceFriday be with you!

MATERIALS

Elmer’s Blue Glitter Glue
1 Cup Water
1 Teaspoon Borax
Glow In The Dark Stars
Star Wars Toys (optional)

I'm Vanessa and it's my mission in life to spread my love of hot glue guns and glitter to others. I suffer from craft ADHD, regularly working on at least 10 projects at the same time and my craft room looks like a tornado hit it. My first craft book, Party in a Jar, was published in 2014. I look forward to crafting with you!
