I’m not getting paid to write about Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day, we genuinely just like dressing like cows and getting free chicken lol!
Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-A is one of our favorite holidays of the year! Cow Appreciation Day is typically in July. If you go to Chick-fil-A, dressed like a cow on this day, you will receive a free entree and kids can get a free kids meal! We created a super simple cow costume and I thought I’d share our cow headband template with you, so you can make your own. You still have time and this tutorial is easy enough to do in under 30 minutes. If you don’t have felt, you could even use card stock. Happy Cow Appreciation Day and Mooooo!

TUTORIAL
Step 1: Print out the cow ear template and cut out the ear stencils. The larger ovals are for adults and the smaller ovals are for children.
Step 2: Trace the oval stencils onto the white stiff felt using a black marker. You’ll need 4 ovals per headband. Make sure you are using the larger ovals for adults and the smaller ovals for children.
Step 3: Cut out the white felt ovals.
Step 4: Hot glue the ovals to the headband, as shown in the photo below. You will be using 2 ovals per ear, sandwiching the headband. Wrap the bottom of the oval around the headband and secure with hot glue. Hot glue the 2 ovals to each other.
Step 5: Cut out squiggly circular shapes to use as spots and hot glue them to the white ears.
Step 6: To make a simple cow shirt, cut spots out of black sticky felt and attach to a plain white t-shirt. You can remove the felt after use, when you don’t feel like being a cow anymore.
Step 7: Put on your cow costume and head into Chick-fil-A on Cow Appreciation Day for a free entree or kids meal! Moo!
Will you be celebrating Cow Appreciation Day this year?
