I decided to go GOLD for my Thanksgiving tablescape this year and I just love how it turned out! Repurpose those faux pumpkins from Halloween into an elegant centerpiece and turn a few mason jars into sparkling candles. If you aren’t a gold kinda person, Scotch® Expressions Glitter Tape comes in just about any color. Pick a color that will also work for your Christmas decor and keep the candles up through the holiday season. MATERIALS
Faux Pumpkin
Sponge Brush
Large Confetti Glitter
Scotch® Create Multipurpose Glue
Mason Jars
Scotch® Expressions Glitter Tape
Candles
DIRECTIONS
Step 1: Head to the craft aisle at Walmart and pick up Scotch® Expressions Glitter Tape, Scotch® Create Multipurpose Glue and other supplies.
Step 2: Wrap your choice of Scotch® Expressions Glitter Tape around a mason jar, wrapping 3 rows. I used gold to match my tablescape, but multi glitter or white would also be fun! Scotch® Expressions are versatile, functional and fun to craft with!
Step 3: Add a votive or tea light candle inside of the jar and place on your Thanksgiving table!
Step 4: Keep the Scotch® Expressions Glitter Tape handy, we’ll be embellishing some pumpkins! Add long strips of tape to the pumpkin, from the top to the bottom, as shown in the photo below.
Step 5: To make the glitter confetti pumpkins, use a sponge brush to apply Scotch® Create Multipurpose Glue to the top half of the pumpkins. Scotch® Create has adhesives, from masking tape to spray adhesives, for any project!
Step 6: Quickly, before the glue dried, sprinkle confetti glitter on top. You’ll want to go heavier with the glitter on the top and sprinkle less glitter toward the bottom.
Step 7: Decorate different sized pumpkins, using the steps above, and place them on your Thanksgiving table or buffet table. Place the candles around the pumpkins.
