Disneyland recently hosted my family for the purpose of a review. Our opinions, photos and love for Mickey Mouse are 100% ours!

Snacks and Food at Pixar Fest Disneyland

Last summer, we shared our list of must eat Disneyland and Disney California Adventure snacks and treats. This year, we took one for the team and ate our way through Disney’s Pixar Fest to bring you a list of our 10 must eat treats and snacks. It was quite the sacrifice, but someone had to do it and we gladly volunteered as tribute. Keep on scrolling to see which Pixar Fest treat we loved and what you might want to skip. Pixar fest runs through September 3rd, so you still have plenty of time to eat your way through this list. 1. Specialty Churros at Churro Carts, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure

There are so many new churro flavors that you could spend the day just sampling churros. The new flavors for Churro Fest, I mean Pixar Fest include: Up-themed Lemon Churro (Town Square Churro Cart), Lots-o-Straw-“Bear”-y Churro (Tomorrowland Churro Cart), Coco-inspired Cocoa Churro (Frontierland), Carrot Cake Churro (New Orleans Square Churro Cart), Choose Your Racer Churros (Cars Land) and the Iced Specialty Churro (Bugs Land). If I couldn’t have them all, I didn’t want to make that kind of life altering churro choice. Not a Pixar Fest specialty, but still delicious, below is the Strawberry Rose Gold Churro that can be found in front of the castle in Disneyland.

2. Up! Peanut Butter and Jelly Eclair at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, Disneyland

Calling all my PB&J fans, this treat is for you! This specialty Eclair is inspired by Disney Pixar’s Up! and filled with a peanut butter cream filling and grape jelly. I love the edible bottle grape soda bottle cap and wilderness explorer badges on the pastry. If you remember, from the beginning of Up!, Ellie gives Carl a grape soda pin badge and says “you and me, we’re in a club now”. Cue the ugly tears, that movie always gets me!

3. Cheeseburger Pizza at Alien Pizza Planet, Tomorrowland

I almost didn’t try this one, because cheeseburger + pizza doesn’t sound that great together. BUT IT IS! The sesame-seed pizza crust is topped with a slider patty, ketchup, mustard, cheese, caramelized onions, diced tomato, pickles and burger sauce. If anyone could get this unique combo to work, it’s Disney! Plus, the vibe at Alien Pizza Planet is a lot of fun and offers indoor seating to cool off at.

4. Pixar Luxo Ball Vanilla Cake Pop at Candy Palace, Disneyland

The Luxo Ball vanilla cake pop is pretty must a Pixar Fest staple and they are only available until June 22, so run! I found mine at Candy Palace in Disneyland, but it’s also available at Marceline’s in Downtown Disney, Trolley Treats in Disney California Adventure and Pooh Corner in Disneyland. They’ll soon be replaced by a Pixar Caramel Apple on June 23, which will be available at Disneyland Resort Candy Kitchens. Just another excuse to go back!

5. Pixar Pier Parfait at Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats, Pixar Pier

Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats in Pixar Pier is now OPEN and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a Pixar Pier Parfait. The parfait is a non-dairy lemon soft serve and blue raspberry frozen beverage. It’s like a lemon flavored Dole Whip and totally worth the wait in line. The good news is that it will stick around long after Pixar Fest! Normally I’d say skip it until after Pixar Fest, but I don’t think you’re going to want to wait to try this treat. While you are hanging in line, you can catch a glimpse of Pixar Pier (opens June 23).

6. Habanero Meatball Cone at Cozy Cone Motel, Cars Land

Cars Land is one of my favorite spots in Disney California Adventure and the food at the Cozy Cone Motel is the best! The Habanero Meatball Cone was high on my priority list this trip and it didn’t disappoint. The cone contains turkey meatballs in a habanero derby sauce with a cheese crisp and spiral pasta. It’s a nice savory snack after all those cake pops and churros.

7. Alien Macaron at Alien Pizza Planet, Tomorrowland

The Alien Macaron wins for “cutest Pixar Fest food” in my book! You can find it at Alien Pizza Planet in Tomorrowland and you won’t want to skip this one if you are a macaron fanatic. They have a sweet, fruity filling and you might want to share them with someone to save room for the rest of this list. Right next to the macarons, you’ll find Alien Blackberry Lime Parfaits. That’s next on my Pixar Fest list to try!

8. Up! Grape Soda Cake Pop at Candy Palace, Disneyland

Disney Pixar’s Up! holds a special place in my heart, so I couldn’t say no to this Grape Soda Cake Pop. The inside is a dark purple, but tasted more like a vanilla cake pop to me. The outside is coated in purple sugar with an edible chocolate grape soda emblem on the front. Grab one of these cake pops at Marceline’s in Downtown Disney, Trolley Treats in Disney California Adventure or Candy Palace and Pooh Corner in Disneyland.

9. Green Pesto Pasta at Alien Pizza Planet, Tomorrowland

If you are looking for something a little more savory and filling, try the Pesto Pasta at Alien Pizza Planet. This dish includes gemelli pasta tossed in a spinach and miso pesto with smoky bacon, sweet peas, and parmesan. It was light on the pesto flavor, but still delicious and anything with bacon is a win for me. If you go anywhere during Pixar Fest, Alien Pizza Planet is a good choice.

10. Mike Wazowski Whoopie Pie at Schmoozies, Disney California Adventure

I saved the best for last because the Mike Whoopie Pie at Schmoozies won Pixar Fest for me. This Monsters Inc. inspired whoopie pie is filled with birthday cake flavored ice cream and melts fast, so I recommend more eating and less photo taking! It’s delicious and was my favorite Pixar Fest treat. Schmoozies is near the Monsters Inc. ride in Disney California Adventure. You can also find the Mint Chip Shake and adorable Pixar Luxo Lamp straw there.

Honorable Mention: Champions Corn Cup at Cozy Cone Motel, Cars Land

At Cozy Cone #5 you can find a cup full of fresh corn, flavored mayonnaise, cotija cheese, chile-lime spice and lime. It’s really spicy and because I don’t like mayo, this snack wasn’t my favorite. My husband loved it, so I’m giving it an honorable mention spot on the list. I feel like if you like spicy and mayo, you should give this one a try! Grab some pickled flavored popcorn while you are at Cozy Cone #5!
