SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP INGREDIENTS

The ingredients for this spinach artichoke dip are mostly pantry staples, but make for a delicious appetizer:

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 10 oz frozen chopped spinach
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz Shamrock Farms organic sour cream

The key ingredient for this recipe and most of my dip recipes is Shamrock Farms sour cream. Its smooth and creamy texture makes for a perfect topping or high-quality recipe ingredient. Whether using traditional or organic sour cream, Shamrock Farms never has and never will use growth hormones on its happy herd of cows. Don’t even think about buying another brand, this stuff is the best and always my secret ingredient – just like in this easy hot bean taco dip recipe or this easy lasagna dip recipe. The best sour cream starts with the best milk and with Shamrock Farms you can absolutely taste the difference.

IS THIS SPINACH AND ARTICHOKE DIP LOW CARB AND KETO FRIENDLY?

Good news for those doing the low carb ketogenic diet, this spinach artichoke dip recipe is keto friendly! Just make sure to serve with low carb veggies instead of crackers. Artichokes and spinach are both low carb vegetables that are keto approved and so good for you. Artichokes are low in fat, high in fiber, and loaded with vitamins and minerals like vitamin C, vitamin K, folate, phosphorus, and magnesium. Spinach is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin A, vitamin C and folate as well as being a good source of manganese, magnesium, iron and vitamin B2. We already know how good dairy is for us!
