My Birthing Soundtrack

I need to preface this post by saying that I have a really random taste in music, I blame (err, credit) this on my dad’s eclectic taste in music. A few readers have asked me to share my birthing soundtrack, so here is what I have so far (thank you for your suggestions). I plan on having a relaxing play list and a more energizing play list available – who knows what I’ll want to listen to during labor or if I will just want silence. I recently purchased the Putumayo Dreamland CD for my little guy and it was strangely relaxing to me so I’ll have this on hand. I’ll also have an Enya play list ready to go for more soothing music. Oh and pretty much every Dave Matthews Band song will be loaded on my iPod. I haven’t exactly done this birthing thing before, but I can imagine that during labor I will want to listen to songs that I typically enjoy listening to and that can relax me. I’ll keep you posted on if I ever turned on my iPod during labor. At the very least I will have some good music to listen to during those late night feedings. I hope this helps you come up with your own birthing soundtrack!
