For the next 22 days I will be posting about something I’m thankful for. I hope you’ll join me in remembering what this season is really about. Whether you want to blog about 22 things you’re thankful for in a single post or do 22 separate posts, it all works. I was so busy yesterday, that I didn’t have a chance to write what I’m thankful for. I’ll just combine yesterday and today in 1 big giant thankful post. Yesterday I was thankful for being blessed enough to be able to give to others. This is our 5th or 6th year packing a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child. This is a great way to give back during the holiday season and your children can get involved in picking out what goes in the shoebox. You can also follow your shoebox online and see where in the world it ended up. Plus, it gave me an excuse to shop for a girl for once (notice the pink explosion coming from my box).
Today I’m thankful for my body. It may not be the fastest body or the strongest and it definitely isn’t perfect, but it has allowed me to help create my little boy. It allowed me to feed him for the first 11 months of his life. It allows me to find an escape through running and exercise. I’m learning to trust it and be kind to it, we’re both a work in progress but I’m grateful for it.
