Whether you need gifts for a mom, a sister, an aunt, a grandma, or a girlfriend, personalized canvas bags are easy to make and the personalized touches make them the perfect DIY gifts! To make your own Personalized Canvas Bags, you’ll need Sharpie Markers, a Canvas Tote Bag, 2″ or larger stickers and embellishments!

First, iron your canvas bags so they lay nice and flat.

Next, place your stickers where you want the writing to be on the bag. I used chipboard letter stickers that I had on hand, but there are tons of letter sticker choices out there.

With a Sharpie Marker, start dotting the fabric around the letters. You want to dot an outline of the letters and then start moving your dots out farther from the letters, creating a “field of dots” around the lettering.

Once you have a good outline, you can remove the stickers and fill in your dots as much as you want. The more dots, the stronger the lettering will stand out.

I filled in with numerous colors of dots, but you can do just one color if that’s your thing!

Using large monogram wood letters, you can make a monogram bag as well! It’s really a super versatile project with so many possibilities!

I’ve whipped up three Personalized Canvas Bags to have on hand for gifts as the year goes on.
