In exchange for my honest review, my son and I got to preview a summer class at As You Wish.

Like Mother, Like Son. Logan definitely inherited my creative gene and I’m so happy that he loves arts & crafts as much as I do! Creativity is a great outlet and at this age, a great way to communicate. Anyone else have a child that gives a one word “good” response to “how was your day”? It drives me nuts, but I know he needs time to decompress from school and communication will come out in other ways throughout the day. That’s one of the many reasons why As You Wish, a pottery painting place here in Arizona, is one of my favorite places to hang out with Logan. When it’s just the two of us doing something creative together, the line of communication is more open. I love our monthly painting dates there and I hope he still thinks it’s cool to hang out with his mom when he’s a teenager!

As You Wish Summer Class

We were recently invited to preview a summer class at As You Wish and despite our hectic week, we couldn’t turn it down. I’m an ambassador for As You Wish and we get to paint there often, but this was our very first organized class there. After some explanation that we’d be listening to an instructor and following along with the rest of the class, he was excited to paint his grilled cheese plate. The instructor was very kid-friendly and the kids, even my almost 5 year old, were able to follow along to her directions. Logan can’t wait to pick up his newly fired grilled cheese plate in a couple days! If you missed the projects I created for As You Wish as an ambassador, you can check them out below.

If you’re in the Phoenix area, beat the heat and sign your kiddos up for As You Wish’s Summer Classes. They are offered Monday – Friday in June and July, from 9am – 10:30am and cost $25 per class. Many of the pieces are more than $25 outside of class, so this is a stellar deal! Check their website for more details. Your child can make his or her own grilled cheese plate on June 17th! Enter to win a class below, 2 lucky winners. Must be local to win.

  1. Guess I should have read the prompt first… I love the watermelon bowl, but I know my daughter would like the grilled cheese plate- she’s a grilled cheese fiend!
