IZZE Upcycled Bottle Vase

I love working with companies that care about the environment through creativity. IZZE is one of those awesome companies. While chatting a few months ago about a potential review, they challenged me to do an upcycled project using their bottles or bottle caps. You know, instead of the typical “so I tried out the product and loved it” kind of blah review. I’m a big fan of IZZE to begin with, so I actually have tried out their products and I really do love them. So, I was pretty excited when a package of IZZE sparkling juice and swag arrived on my doorstep (scroll down to the bottom for a chance to win some IZZE swag of your own). I downed a few bottles of their sparkling blackberry juice and got out my glue gun.

A little back story about how this project came about. My almost 2 year old spotted a bouquet of daisies in the grocery store recently and went nuts over them. He wanted to “mell, mell, mell” them. That would be “smell, smell, smell” them in toddler language. He took in a big giant whiff and gave me the biggest smile. I got a big giant smile on my face because, for once, I literally stopped to smell the roses daisies and my son was teaching me how to. Now that we had a fresh bouquet of beautifully “melling” daisies, we needed a vase to put them in. These upcycled bottle vases would look fabulous as party centerpieces or make a set for your mama as a Mother’s Day gift.

Materials
IZZE Sparkling Juice (you’ll need 3 glass bottles)
Jute String
Hot Glue Gun
Ribbon
Flowers
IZZE Upcycled Bottle Vase
Directions
Step 1: Drink a glass bottle of IZZE sparkling juice and rinse out the bottle. Hot glue a piece of jute string around the rim of the bottle and start wrapping, adding a dab of hot glue after every 5 or so wraps. Continue wrapping the jute around the bottle until you reach the bottom. Secure the end of the jute to the bottle using hot glue. Repeat 2 more times.
Step 2: Tie a piece of ribbon around the 3 jute wrapped IZZE bottles and form a bow in the front.

Step 3: Add flowers. Allow time to stop and “mell” the roses daisies.

I don’t have a website/blog so can’t enter anything above. wish I did. I’d love to start a blog and an etsy store but don’t have a digital camera or any kind of camera to take pictures of my merchandise. Maybe someday.
I’d sure love to win some IZZE although I’d never heard of it before and sure haven’t seen it in stores here (Grand Junction, CO area). Is it sold here?
I love this blog that I’m on right now. Enjoy it very much. Ok guess I’ll go see what else I need to do to have entries.

Realy cute idea! The twine looks great paired with Daisies. I think I need to stop and smell the Daisies a little more often. ๐Ÿ™‚
