Bello! Who else rushed to Target to grab the Minions Metalpak Blu-ray/DVD – Deluxe (a Target exclusive) on December 8th, the big release day?! We’ve watched it practically every day since we got it and I even planned a special movie night with a hot cocoa bar for my family. We couldn’t just have regular hot chocolate, we had to do it minions style with blue cocoa and edible eyeballs on top of the whipped cream. Oh and did I mention the sprinkle rimmed mugs? Pretty much the coolest mom ever. Bee do bee do bee do! Yes, I’m also fluent in minion talk. One of my many talents, besides making a mean cup of hot cocoa lol!
blue and yellow candy sprinkles
light corn syrup
4 cups milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
8oz Market Pantry white chocolate chips
blue food coloring
Market Pantry whipped cream
Step 1: Head to Target and get your ingredients and don’t forget to also pick up Minions © 2015 Universal Studio. All rights reserved. The DVD includes 40 minutes of Target exclusive content! Target is my one stop shop for movie night (and basically everything else)!
Step 2: Pour a few tablespoons of corn syrup on a plate and lightly coat the rim of the glass with syrup. Dip the rim in sprinkles.
Step 3: Place milk, vanilla and Market Pantry white chocolate chips in a saucepan over low-medium heat, continuously stirring until the chocolate fully melts. The liquid should never reach a boil. Add in 5-10 drops of blue food coloring until you get your desired color of blue and mix well. Pour into sprinkles rimmed cups.
Step 4: Add Market Pantry whipped cream to the top of the hot cocoa.
Step 5: Add edible eyeballs.
Step 6: Pop in Illumination Entertainment’s Minions movie and enjoy your hot cocoa while watching!
