At Logan’s last checkup the pediatrician informed me that I should start brushing Logan’s teeth twice a day. TWICE A DAY?!?! And risk getting my fingers bit off by my 6 toothed piranha? That is IF he even opens his tightly clamped mouth for me. Brushing Logan’s teeth ranks right on up there with getting a root canal…without novocaine.
I’ve tried letting Logan explore and play with his toothbrush. Nope, he wants nothing to do with it. I’ve tried the finger toothbrushes, the regular toothbrushes, special baby toothbrushes, electric toothbrushes…fail, fail, fail, fail. I was convinced that Mr. Crafty Nest and I would just have to start saving for dentures, for when Logan’s teeth start falling out because he won’t let us brush them. That was until the very awesome peeps over at Tooth Tissues sent me a package of their dental wipes.
This is the perfect solution for our little guy who has a phobia of toothbrushes (and balloons and sneezes). Logan likes chewing on these things and he will actually let me wipe his teeth with them…without biting me! Of course I have to sing “the wheels on the bus go round and round…” while doing the wiping but it works. The awesome news is that you can use Tooth Tissues exclusively to clean a baby’s mouth/teeth until their back molars arrive, which is on average 16 months. I highly recommend these wipes if you are having brushing battles!
