We took Logan to the Children’s Museum on his actual birth day and he had a blast playing in all of the cool exhibits and catching a bug from said exhibits. Poor guy was sniffling and sneezing for almost 2 weeks. When Logan’s sick he doesn’t want to be bothered and he especially doesn’t want to be probed by a thermometer every couple hours. I don’t blame him.
The non-contact talking thermometer by Thermomedics arrived on my doorstep just in time for Logan’s bug. It was so nice to be able to take his temperature without even having to touch him but I was skeptical. I mean, can a thermometer that doesn’t even touch the body be accurate? So, I compared it to several rectal temps and it was correct every time. You do have to make sure that you are using it correctly, but it works if you do it right.
The best part about this thermometer is being able to take your child’s temp while they are sleeping without waking them. The sound has a mute button so you don’t have to worry about the temperature being broadcasted if you don’t want it to be. This makes caring for a sick baby a little easier, which I greatly appreciate!
