Day 6! In my world of all things boys, I gotta get my girly fix in now and then. Thank goodness several of my friends have girls that I can create frilly little things for. Today I’m showing you how to whip up a Halloweenified bow out of felt. These babies are ridiculously easy and so cute. Once I got started I couldn’t stop, so all of my friends daughters will be rocking a spider web felt bow this Halloween. Link up your Halloween crafts HERE.
Materials
Felt (an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet will make several bows)
Hot Glue Gun
Rotary Cutter or Scissors
Ruler
Halloween Embellishments (found in the scrapbook section)
Headband or Hair Clip
Directions
Step 1: Cut the felt into 3 strips – 6 x 1.5 inches, 5 x 1.5 inches and 2.5 x .5 inches.
Step 2: Take the 6 x 1.5 inch strip of felt and hot glue the ends to the middle of the strip, making a bow, as shown in the picture below.
Step 4: Find the center of the 5 x 1.5 inch strip of felt and hot glue the bow to the middle of the strip. Cut a “V” at the ends of the 5 x 1.5 inch strip.
Step 5: Take the 2.5 x .5 inch strip of felt and hot glue it around the center of the bow, making sure that the end of the felt is at the bottom. Cut off any remaining felt.
Step 6: Place a dab of hot glue on the Halloween scrapbooking embellishment and attach to the center of the bow.
Step 7: Attach the bow to a headband or hair clip. Place on head and wear.
