In March, I finally got my craft back on and whipped up an Easter bunny applique onesie for Logan. I also found a bathing suit that I didn’t hate, a huge accomplishment. I also counted down the days until I could chuck my pump out the window.
April was the month that I dressed my little guy in an Easter bunny costume and added $20 to his future therapy fund. Logan celebrated Easter sock monkey style. Oh and I was pretty much obsessed with cake on a stick that month.
In May, I flew with Logan…by myself…and lived to blog about it. Oh how naive I was to think traveling with a baby was difficult, try traveling with a toddler! I also hosted my 2nd annual Cloth Diaper Week in May and talked fluff.
June was the month that I was in crazy 1st birthday party planning mode and contemplated sock monkey nails. Don’t worry, I didn’t do it. But I did post a DIY sock monkey party hat tutorial. June was also the month that I became addicted to pinterest and made family handprints and crockpot spinach lasagna. In June, I learned that cat food and potting soil make for yummy snacks. Best of all? I said farewell to pumping! I was thisclose to making it to the year mark, but I couldn’t stand 1 more second of it and I was a much happier mama for quitting.
Can we just skip July so my baby can stay little forever? Logan turned 1 in July and we celebrated with an epic sock monkey shindig. My weirdo, broccoli- loving, child passed on cake. I turned 29 (eeek!) and came up with a 30 before thirty list, which I’ll have to post an update about.
I said hello to toddlerhood in August and made some pretty nifty toddler exploration bottles. I got serious about weight loss and started Buff Mama Monday and got my butt on the treadmill. Mr. Crafty Nest and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary, but he forgot all about it (or so I thought). Oh and I made a flower headband too.
In September, I blogged about cake pops AGAIN. I made some homemade bath salts and some anthro inspired earrings. I also started Nutrisystem and started losing weight.
I celebrated October with 10 days of spooky craftiness, totally doing this again in 2012! Logan got to meet the mouse and I got to ride in a parade. I learned about Tripp and his amazing mama Courtney, who I still think about on a daily basis.
I showed you how to make a DIY photo canvas in November. My quest to be a buff mama continued and I lost 10 pounds. I showed you my new ribbon organization system and my new measuring cup organization system, courtesy of pinterest.
In December I hosted a 12 Days of Christmas craft party and some of my fave bloggers showed up to take over my blog. Oh and did I mention that I lost 15 pounds during the holiday season? Because I totally did! I also tortured my son by making him sit on a strangers lap.
