I so wish I could have told you that I lost weight this week, but I can’t. According to my stupid scale, I gained 2lbs this week. That means instead of 2 more pounds, I now have 4 more pound to lose until I hit the 20lb mark. That sucks. I even made it to the gym several times this week and stuck pretty much to my meal plan. Ok, maybe I didn’t stick to my meal plan all that well this weekend. We ate out quite a bit, and while I try to order healthy options the serving sizes are huge. I need to start boxing up half to go from the start. I also could be gaining muscle, but I want to see those numbers on the scale move (and not up)!

I’m still hanging in there and reminding myself that this is a journey, not a race. This just means that I need to do something different to break out of this rut. I think my body has gotten used to my running routine and it needs something new, plus I’m getting kinda bored with it. I know I need to add more weight training into my regimen and maybe I’ll check out a few classes that my gym has to offer. The thing that I like about running is that, for me, it is the most bang for your buck. I can burn the same amount of calories running in half the time it would take me to on the elliptical. I’m a busy mama, I don’t have time to be a gym rat.

Another bump in the weight loss road? I’m headed out of town tomorrow for a couple days, which means more eating out. I just got in some gym time tonight, despite my 4am wake up call, because I won’t be able to workout until Thursday. I didn’t have room for my running shoes in my carry on and I don’t think I’ll have much time for working out while I’m there, but maybe I can do some crunches and planks in my hotel room. Here’s hoping I can stick to eating healthy while I’m there, especially since I’m leaving behind my Nutrisystem meals (no room for those either). Speaking of, a new shipments of Nutrisystem meals arrived today and I can’t wait to start their new SUCCESS program! I’ll be blogging about it soon. Send me some motivation this week to break out of this plateau!
