Nutribear 20

Isn’t he pretty? I’ve never been so excited in my life to receive a stuffed animal before. Actually, I pretty much despise stuffed animals (probably because Logan gets a million of them for every holiday). But this is one bear that won’t end up in the donation box. I worked my butt off for him, literally. Nutrisystem sends nutribears out when you reach a 10lb milestone, I now have 2 of these trophy bears and I’m working on a 3rd. I’m still stuck at a 20lb weight loss this week, no gains or losses, but I’ve learned that this is how my body functions so I’m trying to be patient.

Back when I started Nutrisystem in September, I honestly didn’t think that it would work. I thought maybe I’d lose 5lbs, but never did I think that I’d be sitting here 5 months later blogging about how I’ve lost 20lbs. I started out with a goal to lose 30lbs. It was this distant number that almost seemed unattainable, but today it seems possible. Heck, back in September I couldn’t even run 2 minutes without feeling winded and now I can run a mile no sweat. Ok, maybe a little sweat but I don’t feel like I’m dying. But I’m doing it and I’m proud of myself for not giving up, even after a bad day I’ve learned to just get back up on the treadmill.

Nutrisystem has taught me what I should be eating and has taught me a lifestyle change. I realize I’m a Nutrisystem blogger and you all are probably like, “yeah, yeah, you get paid to write this stuff”. While I get to participate in the Nutrisystem program free of charge, what I write about it is totally up to me. I’m not going to lie, while most of the Nutrisystem food is actually really good, some of the food isn’t my favorite. I learned that within the first month, and now I just stick to ordering the foods that I do like (all of the pizzas are yummy and so are the new Chef’s Table entrees). It also isn’t easy. Just because you joined Nutrisystem doesn’t mean that you won’t have to do the work. Weight loss is hard work, Nutrisystem just makes it a little easier and a whole lot more convenient. I really just can’t say enough good things about this program and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to lose weight, but maybe isn’t so sure how to do it. It works, if you put in the work. I’m proof.

Wish me luck this week, I hope to see the scale move a bit. I’m planning on doing spinning tomorrow (I’m still sore from last week) and I start my mommy bootcamp thing at the end of the month (eeek!).  Nutribear 30 will be mine.

The fine print: Nutrisystem is providing their food and program to me for free, as part of the Nutrisystem Nation Blogger Program.
