As I mentioned yesterday, 14 bloggers teamed up to create this amazing Stargazing themed party. We were given a theme and a color scheme, and somehow all of our ideas meshed together to create this awesome fun summer party. I contributed star cupcake toppers, but instead of short toothpicks I used tall skewers to add some height. They were super simple to make, but still adds character to the display and sometimes simple is the best way to go. I had some leftover stars and simply punches a few holes in them and strung them on a strand of jute, as you can see in the background of the first photo.  Scroll down to see more details of this gorgeous party.

Materials

Scrapbook Paper

Skewers

Hot Glue Gun

Star Stencil & Scissors or Die Cut Machine (I used my BIGkick machine with a star die)

Instructions: Cut out 2 stars per cupcake topper. You can use a star stencil & scissors or a die cut machine (I used my Sizzix Big Kick machine) to cut out the stars. Sandwich a skewer between 2 stars and use a hot glue gun to secure in place. Place a few skewers in each cupcake or you can also use these as drink stirs.
