(giveaway) solly baby wrap

August 16, 2013 By Vanessa 24 Comments

Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.

The biggest challenge of having a second baby has been having enough hands for both my babies. This is one of the many reasons why I adore babywearing so much. I can stick Amelia in the wrap and my hands are free to care for Logan. Some of you might remember Logan’s colicky newborn days, when I had to bounce/jiggle/rock him pretty much 24/7. Luckily, Amelia isn’t showing any colic symptoms (knock on wood…NOW!), but those colicky days made me a babywearing expert pretty quickly. I’ve tried lots of different carriers, but I love wraps the most for the tiny newborn stage.

Solly Baby so kindly sent us their mint green bamboo wrap to try out and I’ve been in babywearing heaven ever since! The only downside to wraps is that they can get pretty toasty in the summertime. The Solly wrap fabric is light enough that you can wear out and about in the summertime and baby is still cozy, but not overheated. I also love that it doesn’t lose its shape and start sagging, so no re-tying after you’ve worn it for awhile (unlike another popular wrap on the market). The Solly wrap is my new fave on the go wrap that I stick in my diaper bag before heading out the door.

For babywearing beginners, there is a small learning curve when it comes to wraps, but don’t be intimidated! I recommend watching Solly Baby’s video tutorials a couple times and practicing in front of the mirror before trying it out with baby. After a couple years of not babywearing, I had to watch them myself for a little refresher. I can easily get my wrap on and baby inside in under a minute. If I know I’ll be wearing baby while we are out and about, I will usually tie the wrap on me ahead of time so I just have to stick baby inside once we get to our destination. So easy!

I really can’t say enough good things about the Solly wrap, especially for summer babes! Solly Baby’s new line debuts on August 16th (TODAY!). I’m in LOVE with the new colors (hello Marigold and Indian Summer!) and I might just have to add another Solly to my collection!

Buy It: Visit Solly Baby to purchase these products. The new line will be available on August 16th. A purchase is not necessary to enter the giveaway.

Win It: Solly Baby is giving away a wrap to 1 lucky winner. This giveaway is open worldwide. This is a Rafflecopter giveaway, you must open up the post for the widget to appear. The first entry is mandatory, the rest are extra ways to enter. Remember to leave an email address and good luck!

I like that it can tuck nicely right into a little pouch on end of the wrap. So easy to throw in the diaper bag and take everywhere we go!

Since I’m expecting Baby #2 I’ve been trying to research new carriers/ wraps, so this post is wonderful! I’ve never heard of the Solly wrap, but the fabrics/ colors are great! Thanks for the information.

I love that this keeps the baby so close, yet gives you two hands. I will need that for dealing with twin babies!

I like that they are lighter and slimmer than any other stretchy wrap so they work in even summer days.
