(tot school tuesday) cinnamon baked apple chips snack

August 20, 2013 By Vanessa Leave a Comment

Hi All!
I’m Laura from Beauty & the Beard, and I’m thrilled to be on Vanessa’s blog today to share with you this ridiculously easy snack that’s loved by kids (+adults too!). It makes for a great after school snack because it’s a healthy finger food that is just sweet enough to be a little bit of a treat.
Here’s how you make my Cinnamon Baked Apple Chips!:
All you need is:
2-3 large apples (HoneyCrisp are my favorite, but any will do!)
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/2- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
parchment paper & a cookie pan
oven preheated to 275 degrees
Step 1: Cut the bottom and the top of the apples so they’re easy to core!
Step 2: Core the apples and begin to slice into thin rings and lay them out onto your parchment lined dish
Step 3: Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon to the amount you think your kids would enjoy- some kids find cinnamon pretty spicy, so lighten up a bit on it if that’s the case, a little goes a long way!
Step 4: Bake the chips for 30 minutes on one side, then flip and bake for another 45. Check along the way to make sure they don’t burn.
Step 5: Let cool & enjoy!
I hope you enjoy this delicious, healthy snack!
