Last month I had the opportunity to film a couple of segments for Your Life A to Z to promote my craft book, Party in a Jar. I had a blast and shared how to make a couple kid-friendly projects from the book. This isn’t my first time in front of the camera. In my pre-mama life as a social worker in TX, I regularly filmed adoption related segments for the local news station there. Thankfully I knew what to somewhat expect, but those moments leading up to my 5 minutes of fame is always nerve racking. Those hosts rock at what they do! Of course, when I get on air it goes by so quickly and it’s always a ton of fun for me to do! If you missed my first segment or don’t live in AZ, you can watch it below.
The segment aired right before Father’s Day, so I shared how to transform the Bear Snack Jars and Star Nightlights into dad-friendly gifts. These projects would be fun year round, especially now when summer boredom busters are needed in 110 degree weather! Apparently I didn’t flub the segments too bad because the producer asked me to come back and share another kid-friendly craft. I made my awesome BFF and her lovely daughter Leah come with me to the filming, they were a huge help! Leah was one of my little co-stars and helped demonstrate the craft for me. You’ll have to tune in to 3TV tomorrow at 10am to see what we created (hint: it’s dinosaur related)!
And because I know I’ll be getting emails asking where I got what where, the fun fabric bunting in the first segment is from FabricWorks by LauraLou and the mason jar banner is from my sweet friend Rocky Mountain Mama. The green banner in the second segment is from good ol’ Target (yay for putting together something cute at the last minute).
