HOOK’EM HORNS! Show up to the next UT Longhorn tailgating party with these festive JELL-O parfaits, the perfect game day food! Don’t worry, JELL-O has mold kits for most of the other major universities too. I’m a tad partial to burnt orange because I graduated from The University of Austin with my master’s degree in clinical social work. It’s a gorgeous campus, one of my favorite cities and the football games are a pretty awesome experience! It was fun telling my kiddos all about my grad school days as we made this treat. These molds are pretty awesome for football parties or tailgating festivities! Any other Longhorn fans getting their burnt orange ready for football season?

Ingredients

JELL-O JIGGLERS University Mold Kit (comes with 4 JELL-O boxes and 2 molds)

2 Packets Unflavored Gelatin

1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk

1 Can Mandarin Oranges

4 Wide Mouth Pint Sized Mason Jars

Step 1: Go to Walmart.com and grab a coupon to SAVE 75¢ on ONE (1) JELL-O University Mold Kit. Purchase your kit of choice. Each kit comes with 2 molds and 4 boxes of JELL-O.

Step 2: Make 1 tray of Longhorns, using 1 box of JELL-O according to the kit instructions. Make sure to pay attention to the amount of water you need or you’ll end up with watery Longhorns (they were still pretty yummy). Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.

Step 3: Divide the mandarin oranges into the 4 jars. Make another package of orange JELL-O, this time use the instructions on the JELL-O box. Divide and pour the JELL-O liquid into the 4 jars, over the mandarin oranges. Allow to harden in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.

Step 4: Once the orange JELL-O is hardened, mix 2 packages of unflavored gelatin with 1 cup of boiling water until dissolved. Mix in 1 can of sweetened evaporated milk and allow to cool to room temperature before diving and pouring into the 4 mason jars. Allow to harden in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.

Step 5: Follow the instructions for easily removing the Longhorns from the molds. Place 1 Longhorn jiggler on top of the white layer in each mason jar. Enjoy your festive game day snack!
