I challenged 5 bloggers to a friendly craft challenge. They were each sent the same box of chevron stencils from Cutting Edge Stencils and asked to “Do Something Crafty”. They were allowed to use other materials, as long as they used at least 1 stencil in some way. You, my lovely readers, will have an opportunity to vote for your favorite blogger’s craft at the end of the challenge. The winner will receive a $50 gift card to Cutting Edge Stencils. Meet our first blogger, the crafty Rachel of North Phoenix Moms Blog. Come back on September 14th to vote for Rachel’s craft project!

Rachel has lived in Arizona most of her life and calls it home despite her California roots. She has loved design as far back as she can remember coloring, painting, crafting, and more as a child. Due to her job as a Marketing Coordinator, Rachel learned how to work in many design programs and it quickly took her graphic design skills to another level. Shortly after having her first child she began to blog about motherhood. She started a shop called Just Us Three Design to provide friends and family with baby accessories, and card designs soon followed. Rachel is blessed to marry her high school sweetheart and be a family of five. She is passionate about God, her family, design, party planning, blogging, social media, local AZ family happenings and more! Bio photo credit: Dream Photography Studio

In Rachel’s words: I’m always up for a challenge so when Vanessa shared about her Do Something Crafty competition, I was all in. When pondering on my project I decided to market to the moms that want a fab meets functional crafting project. Because as we all know crafting is fun but if we get a usable item that will make life a little easier out of it..well I say that is a HUGE WIN! I tackled the endless battle of toys all over the house/floor by creating personalized burlap activity mats with my Cutting Edge Stencils. You can find the full tutorial at Harding Happenings.
