I stumbled upon the cutest teacup and matching saucer at Savers this weekend, and immediately put them in my cart. I love browsing the aisles at Savers and seeing what I can create from something thrifted. It’s one of my most favorite things to do and gets me in a creative type of mood! I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with the teacup until I found pink pom pom trim, also at Savers. Sometimes you can score some fab craft supplies there!
I made a hedgehog moss terrarium for my son’s nursery a few years ago and it’s still my favorite part of his room. I’ve wanted to make something similar for my daughter’s pink and yellow nursery, so I created a miniature fairy garden in my newly thrifted teacup. I’m in love! I can’t wait to put it on her dresser, maybe on top of a couple fairytale books. It brings so much magic to a little girl’s room.
With April being Earth Month, take a little time to do something nice for Mother Earth. Savers keeps 650 million pounds of reusable goods out of landfills each year, making it one of the largest textile recyclers in the world. That’s AMAZING! While you are going green, you can give back at the same time. Donations made at Savers support nonprofits. Specifically here in Phoenix, they pay Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona for every item donated at the store, regardless of whether or not the item sells or even makes it to the sales floor. Shopping for a good cause is right up my alley!
