Every morning, at around 6am, we hear a sweet little singing voice saying “let it go, let it go” over the sound monitor. That’s our cue to get Amelia out of her crib for morning snuggles in our bed, until she demands “Anna, Anna, Annnna” and we put on her favorite movie. Amelia is a little FROZEN obsessed. At 2 years old, she knows all the songs and regularly requests her “blue elsa dress”.
You can imagine her excitement when we spotted Disney FROZEN grapes in our produce aisle at Walmart! As a mom who tries to feed her children healthy foods, I was thrilled to see my daughter so excited about “Elsa Grapes”. I’m so happy to see that Disney is making efforts to get children to eat well. A character label on produce is so powerful.
As a special snack, Amelia and I created FROZEN fruit wands. Amelia was thrilled with her princess wand! They are the perfect back to school or anytime snack. I plan on making a batch of fruit wands to take to my son’s school when we have snack duty next week. I know my kids are more likely to eat something healthy if it’s presented in a fun way. I mean, who doesn’t want to eat Olaf grapes?!
