M&M Cookie Bars Recipe

Tis’ the season for holiday baking and I couldn’t be more excited! There’s nothing I love more than baking homemade cookies and treats with my kids. Memories of Christmas with my own mom always include memories of spending hours in the kitchen baking together. We’d chat and laugh until the flour ran out. It was quality time together and I look forward to making those same memories with my children. My little helpers had a blast making these M&M’s® Oatmeal Cookie Bars with me. They are less work than traditional cookies, perfect for kids to help with, and just as yummy (if not more)! I love the festive red and green M&M’s®!

INGREDIENTS

1 cup butter (softened)
1 2/2 cups brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups flour
2 cups Original Instant Quaker Oats
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 bag M&M’s® Holiday Baking Minis

You’ll also need:

Glad® Holiday Containers, Yarn, Pom Pom Maker, Scissors, Hot Glue Gun

Step 6: While cookie bars are baking, create pom pom gift toppers. Use a pom pom maker to create at least 3 pom poms. Tie the pom poms together. Hot glue to the top of the Glad® holiday container.
