Cherry pie is high in the dessert rankings for me! Just wait until you taste this easy cherry pie dessert pizza recipe! My husband’s birthday is the day before Valentine’s Day, so we usually mash together our celebrations for both. Every year he requests the same special dinner. Pizza. My husband is a pizza-aholic, while I could go without. Now, give me dessert pizza and we’ll talk! This year, I’m ordering his favorite pizza from our local pizzeria and making a dessert pizza for after. Think anyone will notice if I skip right to dessert?
INGREDIENTS
2 – 6 inch pizza crusts
20 ounce can of cherry pie filling
1/4 cup flour
1 2/2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter, softened
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1: Preheat to 400 degrees.
Step 2: Spread the cherry pie filling onto the pizza crust, leaving a 1/2 inch boarder without filling.
Step 3: Use a pastry cutter to blend the flour, sugar, brown sugar and butter together.
Step 3: Sprinkle the flour mixture on top of the cherry pie filling. Bake for 20-30 minutes, until the flour mixture is browned.
Step 4: Enjoy with your Valentine! This recipe makes 2 pizza pies, so you can either share and put one away or enjoy a pie each!
