Our weekday mornings always feel so rushed and busy, I’m always looking for ways to make them run smoother. With an earlier school start time this year, we tend to finish breakfast in the car and on the way to school. I recently tried putting together breakfast to go bags, perfect for grabbing on the way out the door. No more arguing with my kids to “hurry up and finish breakfast, we need to leave”. Our new routine makes for a much calmer morning and this is my new favorite parenting hack. I like to include convenient breakfast items like a Welch’s Graham Slam! Grape PB&J bar, fruit and yogurt. All easy things to eat on the road. The grab bags are such a hit that I plan on setting up a breakfast bar station in the kitchen, so the kids can fill their own bags.

SUPPLIES

paper bags

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Head to the frozen section of Walmart and pick up a box of Welch’s Graham Slam! Grape PB&J, located next to other PB&J items. You can eat them frozen or thawed. Not only do they make for a quick and easy breakfast, they are also great for after school snacks or after dinner treats. Don’t forget to grab a coupon before you shop.
