Phoenix Ballet hosted my family for the purpose of a review. Our opinions and love for The Nutcracker are 100% ours!
The Phoenix Ballet presents The Nutcracker, December 9-11 and December 22-24 at the Orpheum Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona. One of my favorite holiday memories from childhood was our Nutcracker tradition. Every year, my mom would take me to see a live performance of the The Nutcracker. I would sit in the theater, in my fancy Christmas dress, in awe of the dancers. I’d practice my pirouettes when I got home and sleep with a nutcracker next to my pillow, dreaming that I was Clara for the night.

Life has come full circle, my 3 year old daughter and I had the privaledge of previewing Phoenix Ballet’s The Nutracker performance before it hits the big stage. My daughter just started ballet lessons this year and she couldn’t have been more excited to see “real live ballerinas”. I have a feeling that she went to sleep, dreaming that she was Clara for the night.

I can’t wait to see the talented dancers and beautiful costumes on stage. The December 9-11th performances will have live music by The Phoenix Symphony, which I highly recommend! Last year, Phoenix Ballet performed to all sold out audiences for their productions of The Nutcracker and has since received numerous accolades. It will be a beautiful show!
