I’m showcasing the new Kleenex Brand Ready to Care Collection by Betsey Johnson as part of a sponsored series with Socialstars. #KleenexBetseyStyle
Happy National Craft Month! I love upcycled projects, especially when the original material is already fun to begin with! Have you seen the new Ready to Care Collection by fashion icon Betsey Johnson for Kleenex Brand? Her Kleenex Brand boxes are as funky and bold as she is, I love them! From pink cheetah print to giant lipstick prints, these boxes are oh so cute and make for fun craft materials. Betsey also designed a line of Kleenex Brand Slim Packs for on the go and I can’t wait to get my hands on them!
I was inspired to create a cute flower vase out of the rose print box. After we used the Kleenex Brand Tissues inside, I claimed the box for my vase. And in thinking like Betsey, MORE is MORE, I blinged my box out with rhinestones. Such an easy project for anyone who loves upcycling as much as I do! The kids wanted to put the colorful vase in their bathroom, which was the perfect spot for it. It livened up the room and it’s always nice to have fresh flowers around!
MATERIALS
Kleenex box
scissors
pot (that will fit inside the box)
floral foam
rhinestone wrap
hot glue gun
flowers
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Cut the top off of an empty Kleenex box using scissors.
Step 2: Trim the rhinestone wrap to fit around the tissue box, going halfway up the box.
Step 3: Hot glue the rhinestone wrap around the bottom half of the tissue box.
Step 4: Place the pot inside of the tissue box and the floral foam inside the pot and fill with water. Make sure the pot doesn’t have any holes or the water will leak. Stick the flowers into the floral foam, trimming down to size when necessary.
Step 5: Display! I put our funky flower vase in the bathroom.
