Fall is quickly approaching, which means all things PUMPKIN and FOOTBALL in our household! I attended a major football university in Texas for grad school and there was nothing better then suiting up in burnt orange and heading to a college football game. There’s a special feeling of excitement you get walking into that stadium that can’t be explained. Now that we live in Arizona, we cheer for our team from afar and it gives me an excuse to throw a few football parties. In preparation for a big game over the weekend, I created a Dr Pepper drink station.
To create your own drink station, head to Walmart and grab a 12 pack of Dr Pepper and other supplies. I included flavored syrup, lime slices, lemon slices and cherries to the drink station so guests can customize their drinks. I like to use green, imitating the football field, accents when decorating for a football party. Throw in some black and white striped napkins and paper straws to look like the ref. Place Dr Pepper cans on a tiered stand and other supplies on a tray so guests can easily serve themselves. Drink stations are a fun and inexpensive way to add that extra touch to any party. My favorite mix ins for Dr Pepper are vanilla syrup and cherries. I also like a good “dirty” Dr Pepper, which is coconut syrup and lime slices. Try it, trust me!
Speaking of game day, don’t forget to play the digital football toss game for a chance to #WinTution from Dr Pepper. Dr Pepper is giving away $20,000 in tuition, which can also be used to pay off student loans! Dr Pepper will also be giving away free prizes as well as an additional $5,000 in tuition to one lucky winner in each market, in select markets at Walmart locations. Head to the Dr Pepper football game website for the times and store listings.
