Back to School Ice Cream Party

Back to school time is here! What better way to celebrate the first day of school than with an ice cream party! This has turned into our little back to school tradition and something my kids always look forward to. It’s a fun way to celebrate a significant milestone. My oldest requested Blue Bunny® PB ‘N Cones™, which is part of the new 2017 lineup of flavors. It has swirls of creamy peanut butter and crunchy chocolate dipped cone pieces throughout delicious vanilla ice cream. The other new flavors include: Rockin’ Rocky Road™, Monster Cookie Mash, Toffee Brownie Twist™ and Mint Cookie Crunch. Cherrific Cheesecake is also available year round now. My youngest opted for Blue Bunny® Bunny Tracks®. My kids have good taste, but I’m partial to the new Blue Bunny® Bunny Snacks™ Cookies ‘N Cream. They are the perfect bite-size treat, also available in Salted Caramel Pretzel, Chocolate Vanilla Twist and Chocolate Chip Cookie. I can’t wait to try them all! To create your own back to school ice cream party, follow the simple steps below.

Step 1: Head to Walmart to grab your Blue Bunny® ice cream and party supplies.

Step 2: Print the apple ice cream cone wrappers on regular white printer paper. Cut out the wrappers and hot glue them into cone shapes. Place them around the ice cream cones. Display the cones on a cake stand.

Step 3: Print the pencil banner on white card stock paper. Cut around the pencil shapes and hot glue to a piece of yarn. Hang above the party table.

Step 4: Add in school related decor. You can fill a large jar with apples, display a mason jar full of pencils or scatter magnetic letter on the table.

Step 5: To make a salted caramel pretzel shake, combine 2 cups Blue Bunny® Bunny Tracks®, 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup salted pretzels. Dip the rim of the glass in corn syrup before dipping into crushed pretzels. Add a festive straw and place on the party table.
