I reviewed Bummas cloth wipes last year pre-cloth diapering and I’m excited to have the opportunity to review them again this year, now that I’ve been using them for 10 months. Want my one word review of Bummas wipes? LOVE! Even if I wasn’t cloth diapering I think I would still use cloth wipes because they are much more gentler on the tush. I credit these wipes for helping keep Logan diaper rash free.
How do I use cloth wipes, you ask? I simply dip the cloth wipe in warm water or California Baby makes a diaper wash spray that I love to use. I’ve even seen recipes for homemade diaper wash spray that I’ve been meaning to try. I keep a bottle of the diaper wash spray along with a few wipes in my diaper bag for on the go diapering. I wash the cloth wipes right along with the diapers, so it really isn’t that much extra effort.
Pre-solids I would use Bummas wipes 24/7, pee or poop, rain or shine. It was easy. With exclusively breast fed babies, their poo is water soluble so you can just stick the diaper or cloth wipe directly in the washer without having to spray or scrape anything off. Now that Logan is a solid-pooping machine *gag*, I use disposable wipes for the big stinky jobs. But, cloth wipes are still what I use the majority of the time and even after I use disposables I like to pat him down with a cloth wipe.
Oh and I can officially report that Bummas wipes have helped me to prevent Logan’s surprise squirt attacks when the diaper comes off. Thanks Bummas!
